RedEyes is a reverse-proxy Web Application Firewall that sits inline in front of the application. It inspects every request in a form readable by the backend and blocks SQL injection, XSS, path traversal and RCE attacks in milliseconds. The self-hosted version is in GA, the managed cloud version is on the roadmap.
Against multi-step URL/HTML/base64 decoding, decommenting, and charset fold — signature-matching bypassing encoding tricks.
Selected signatures, OWASP CRS (Coraza), libinjection semantic analysis and behavior anomaly are combined; a corroboration gate prevents a single noisy rule from working falsely.
Not just the URL — the request body is also parsed as the backend reads it.
Each deployment starts in shadow mode and shows what it blocks; when ready, it switches to normal (403) or hardened (IP-ban) mode.
The privileged host agent blocks via nftables — the internet-facing proxy itself has no elevated privileges.
